An ideal base for a family party or groups, Rosemaddon is a pretty detached Grade II listed period cottage located in the centre of Crantock.

An ideal base for a family party or groups, Rosemaddon is a pretty, detached, Grade II listed period cottage, located in the centre of Crantock. Originally a Methodist Chapel, the spacious accommodation is laid out over two floors, including a Minstrels Gallery over the living room which gives access to the three bedrooms. Rosemaddon's owner is a keen supporter of local artists and evidence of this can be seen around the cottage.

To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed garden with patio and a large table and chairs, easily accessible from the dining area. A couple of steps up is a paved level where access is gained to a shed for storage of boards and the like. With it's ideal location, Rosemaddon is just a short walk away from Crantock's attractions and shops.

Also within short walking distance you will also be able to find Crantock Beach, a popular destination for dog walkers, surfers and those just looking to enjoy down time. If you're looking to explore the rest of Cornwall, Rosemaddon is also a great hub for guests, with easy access to surrounding villages and attractions near Crantock. The property allows access for two vehicles to be parked.

The property also boasts a private enclosed patio garden, which is a great place to let your dogs roam without the concern of them escaping. The garden is also a great spot to enjoy a BBQ and relax with the family and friends.

Fantastic!
Just arrived home from a wonderful stay at Rosemadden in Crantock. The house is perfectly situated in the heart of the village, just ten minutes walk from the beach, a few steps from the village shop and two minutes walk from the two pubs and the gorgeous Jam Jar Cafe and Restaurant. We had such a fabulous week and staying in a house that is so spacious and well equipped was the icing on the cake. We adored eating outside in the pretty little cottage garden and it was also a wonderful surprise to find a piano in the house when we arrived. With two Grade 8+ pianists in the family it made our time in the house even more special. Would highly recommend this wonderful holiday cottage.

Exceptional
What can I say about this beautiful home. When you see the house you just don't realise the Tardis that's inside. It's a large wonderful home with a great atmosphere and is so well equipped. The kitchen/dining room is large and so is the sitting room. We loved it. The bedrooms are so nice and the beds are clean and comfy. I?m usually ready to get back to my own bed after two weeks but u could have stayed in this house. It made our holiday in lovely Crantock even more special.

Quiet village location
We booked Rosemadden for the first week in June via Cornwall Holiday Cottages at a cost of £865 including the dog. Rosemaddon doesn?t look much from the outside but it's deceptively spacious inside with a stunning wooden Minstrels Gallery over the living room and large kitchen diner to the back of the house. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The accommodation and the furnishings were all first class. Our only disappointment with the property was the smallness of the garden, as the photos on the website don't really convey how tiny it really is. There is a nice paved area with garden furniture just off the kitchen but the lawned area is very, very small indeed. Although the garden lets it down a little, Rosemadden more than makes up for this shortfall by its location. It's situated right in the centre of the picturesque village of Crantock where you have views over the tiny village green and easy access to the general stores which is only two doors along (expensive but handy). Rosemadden is within a hop skip and a jump from two pubs (the Old Albion Inn and the Cornishman) and two tearooms (the Cosy Nook and Hevlas Tea Gardens) so you're be spoiled for choice on dining options. If you wish to venture further afield you can walk into West Pentire (one mile) and visit either C-Bay or the Bowgie Inn. Last but by no means least, Rosemadden is less than a ten minute walk to the stunning beach at Crantock Bay which is one of the most glorious beaches in the whole of North Cornwall. If you prefer a quieter beach you can always hike to Polly Joke Beach (also known as Porth Joke beach) in West Pentire, which is just over a mile from the property. We had a splendid holiday and hardly used the car at all after we arrived as the weather was so glorious we spent each day on or around the beach and then walked to one of the nearby pubs in the evening. Highly recommended.

gorgeous cottage in lovely village
My husband, daughter and son-in-law , and I had a brilliant holiday at Rosemadden. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed and very welcome. The beds are comfortable, the towels are large and soft , and there is plenty of seating. The kitchen /dinning area is spacious and has everything you need - including French doors out into the pretty garden - an " extra" being the bird that visited every morning for breakfast ! We ate at the Albion - very good food and service. The village has a useful shop and a lovely tearoom and gallery. Crantock beach is amazing and we would recommend going kayaking with Rob Small - I was nervous and he made sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience. He also knows loads of facts about the area - we had a great time.

Travelled June 2010
We stayed at Rosemadden in June 2010 with our daughter, husband and her two children. We had previously stayed at Cobb Barn which was lovely but needed a bigger property this time. Rosemadden is amazing from the moment we stepped into the entrance porch and went through into the galleried living room. The house was spotless, the furniture and fittings first class. We liked the fact that we had what was really our own self contained wing of the house and our daughter and her family had their own.
